Welcome Maia Williams to the Accreditation Team

Maia Williams joined the Accreditation Team in September 2021, serving as the new Accreditation Program Manager. Prior to working with ASHA, Maia worked with various higher education organizations in compliance roles, including most recently as a Licensure Specialist for SLP programs at 2U, an online program management provider. Prior to her role at 2U, Maia worked as an Accreditation Coordinator with the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). Maia will work directly with programs during the accreditation processes.

About the CAA

The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) accredits eligible clinical doctoral programs in audiology and master's degree programs in speech-language pathology. The CAA relies on a dedicated corps of volunteers serving as Council members and site visitors to accomplish the work of the accreditation program.
