SLPD Feasibility Survey

December 3, 2021

The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (hereafter, “CAA” or “the Council”), in consultation with SeaCrest Company, is conducting a survey to gather feedback on the need for and interest in voluntary accreditation of post-entry-level clinical doctoral degree programs in speech-language pathology, referred to in the survey as “SLPD” programs.

The survey is not intended to indicate support for changes to the entry-level education requirement for speech-language pathology practice. It is designed to provide valuable feedback to the CAA members as the Council considers this important question:

  • Should the CAA offer voluntary accreditation of post-entry-level clinical doctoral degree programs in speech-language pathology?

The survey was sent out via email on November 29, 2021, to targeted stakeholders, including academic programs. Please check your inbox for the link and submit your feedback on or before December 20, 2021.

Data collection and analysis will be completed by SeaCrest Company. Questions related to the survey may be directed to callen@seacrestcompany.com. Questions related to the content of the survey may be directed to CAASurveys@asha.org.
