CAA Announces New Members for 2018

Four new members will join the CAA when their terms begin on January 1, 2018:

  • Laura Cord, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, MD (Practitioner Member-SLP)
  • Cynthia Fowler, University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI (Academic Member-Audiology)
  • Jaynee Handelsman, University of Michigan Medical Center, MI (Practitioner Member-Audiology)
  • Judith Page, University of Kentucky, KY (Academic Member-SLP)

The new members were elected by CAA-accredited programs via an online election that concluded on September 15, 2017.

CAA members serve 4-year staggered terms. More information about the 2019 CAA vacancies and application process will be available in Spring 2018.

Accreditation Handbook

The Accreditation Handbook contains the policies and procedures that govern the CAA's operations, including the conduct of accreditation reviews of eligible programs.

Standards for Accreditation

The CAA has adopted Standards for Accreditation for review of eligible graduate education programs in audiology and speech-language pathology.

About the CAA

The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) accredits eligible clinical doctoral programs in audiology and master's degree programs in speech-language pathology. The CAA relies on a dedicated corps of volunteers serving as Council members and site visitors to accomplish the work of the accreditation program.
